Dynamics 365—How Much Does It Cost?

You might well be drawn to its main functions, but the price of integrating a new software program, like Dynamics 365, into your business is always the most important factor. How does pricing work? Is it priced per module, per user or per month? Can you just pick the modules you want or do you have to do opt for a plan that includes several different modules?

What Is Dynamics 365?

There’s no point in talking about pricing if you don’t know what it is. Dynamics 365 is a business solution developed by Microsoft. The software program is made up of several different modules:

Microsoft has given users the opportunity to only pay for the modules their business will actually use. However, they have also put together some attractively priced module plans. So, you need to know exactly what your company requires in order to choose the best value and most useful plan. Investing in a project diagnosis could be the best way to define your company’s needs.

1. Hand-Picked Microsoft Dynamics 365 Modules

The ability to handpick the modules you need means that you’ll only pay for the modules that you will actually use. Don’t forget that the pricing is shown per user per month.

So, if you want Dynamics 365 for Sales for two users, the total price will be $121.60 x 2 per month, i.e. $243.20 per month.

2. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Plans

There are three plans available: Customer Engagement, Unified Operations and Dynamics 365. These plans are attractively priced for companies who need the modules contained within them or expect to need them in the coming months.

The Customer Engagement Plan is priced at $147.20 per user per month.

It includes the following modules:

  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Project Service Automation
  • Marketing
  • Field Service
  • PowerApps for Dynamics 365
  • Flow

These are all CRM type modules.

The Unified Operations Plan is priced at $243.20 per user per month.

It includes the following modules:

  • Finance and Operations
  • Retail
  • Talent (HR module)
  • PowerApps for Dynamics 365
  • Flow

These are all ERP type modules.

Finally, there is a plan that includes all the above-mentioned modules called the

Dynamics 365 Plan, priced at $268.80 per user per month.

It therefore includes the following modules:

  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Project Service Automation
  • Marketing
  • Field Service
  • Finance and Operations
  • Retail
  • Talent
  • PowerApps for Dynamics 365
  • Flow

3. The price of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central license (ERP SMB)

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Essentials at $86.90 per user per month / Premium at $128 per user per month)

is a complete solution that’s unique, complete, and can manage:

  • Finances
  • Sales
  • Operations
  • Customer service

And this is without mentioning the ability to update your accounting module.

This way, with a common data model, Microsoft Business Central offers a unique system that unifies your enterprise, and improves your efficiency by automating tasks and procedures. Besides, it gives you privileged access to all your data within the same interface and allows you to easily integrate your favorite Office 365 tools like Outlook, Excel, and Word.

4. Power BI pricing

Power BI ($9.99 per user per month or $ 4995 Monthly prices per cloud computing and storage dedicated resource)

is an increasingly popular Microsoft product and is quickly becoming a buzzword in the business community.

Power BI is a business analysis solution that enables you to share data within your company or integrate it into your application or website.

4. Price to add artificial intelligence (AI) in Dynamics 365

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly essential to businesses. It therefore comes as no surprise that Microsoft offers integrated AI in their Dynamics 365 software.

AI for Sales ($64 per user per month)

enables you to share detailed information with your field and in-house sales teams, to improve customer engagement and decision-making. Prebuilt, embedded insights enable you to pinpoint the best prospects and customers to focus on. It also helps you to determine the most impactful actions to move relationships forward, while empowering managers to improve sales and team performance.

Customer Insights ($1,920 per tenant per month)

enables you to obtain all the public information about companies and customers with whom you have (or aspire to have) a business relationship. It empowers users to unify data across sources to get a single view of customers, optimize engagement, and generate insights that drive personalized experiences.

5. Dynamics 365 “Team Member” and “Operations Activity” Users

Microsoft understands that you may have employees (or freelance agents, even) who require access to data obtained through Dynamics 365. That’s why they created the

Team Members license ($10.20 per user per month).

This licence provides read-only access to the user. Users cannot modify files or access other Dynamics 365 modules. It grants these rights for 15 applications, which you can create using PowerApps.

There’s also the

Operations Activity licence ($64 per user per month).

This licence is ideal for users who need more functions than the Team Members license provides, but who don’t necessarily need the usage rights of a full user. Dynamics 365 Unified Operations—the usage rights of a Team Members licence with the ability to:

  • Approve task-related transactions;
  • Create or modify article data about storage, reception, delivery, orders, suppliers, and budgets;
  • Use a point-of-sale peripheral, store manager, workshop or warehouse peripheral.
